What inspired you to study in an LIS program?

I want to be at the intersection for multiple communities to gain information. Also I watched Party Girl with Parker Posey and felt akin to how she developed a love for systems and order through tenacious humor.

What part(s) of your program are you enjoying/have you enjoyed?

I enjoyed writing a reference letter for NYPL with their incarcerated people project.

What are you most proud of?

I made a pamphlet explaining the use of Social Explorer which let me approach a way of developing a knowledge organization while designing a visual unique identity.

What are you most looking forward to in your future career?

I want to be a pillar for technological change in areas that can benefit from it all.

What’s something you’ve read recently that you’ve enjoyed?

Great question, I read Shut Up, This is Serious by Carolina Ixta. It is a YA book and left me wanting more on how to be apart of these kids’ lives.

Anything else you’d like to share about yourself?

I like to run, but also I love coffee meet ups. Cold brew and park walks are necessary for stable mental health for me.
